Have some figs:)...

I was wondering the other day if there were any interesting figs in the Soviet Republics...there have been those hardy pomegranates coming out and I wondered if there might be figs too. But I doubt the wasp is in any of those areas, they probably weren't able to be any breeding.

Nice pictures of fruit from trees growing around LA, whoever owns those trees must know what they are doing.  Hope they don't mind you taking the fruit.

Hi Aaron.
They look great. I want to come to your house.

Curious. Some posts are missing. Hey Aaron, FYI - I think you accidentally missed a few.

Aron,

Either you have very small hands, or you got very big figs...

Please, tell me what is the case! ;-)

Will,
all the figs above are from Beverly Hills and they have been offered to me as a follow up to the variety as they go through changes of the season.
These are important steps for people who I shared the cuttings of these varieties with. I want them to know what to expect. It's surprising how many nice people we can meet through fig world IN PERSON. I get phone calls all the time regarding more details and corrections of names that they give me at first , then they go back to several people , either from family circle or friends to find out more to tell me.
I hope this helped clear some confusion you have and can offer you some inner peace.

Vito,
you are welcome, anytime ;)

jtp,
my gosh... you must be right, I missed a few! Sorry for that.

Christian,
I don't have huge hands but those white figs are humangous too.

The Persian fig looks great, can't wait to see how it does around the rest of your country.

Aaron White Armenian figs in the USSR had the name "Kyurdesht." Source Book "Subtropical cultures", 1951 edition.

@Chivas
I guess we all will find out in a year, I have already received several updates on few varieties and seems like they are growing very well, remain to see the cold-hardiness( in Spring?)  :)

@Vladis
This is a very exciting news.
Not much info is available here about this variety and on YouTube there is only one guy who shows and talks about it...
Is there a way you can post a picture from that book about "Kyurdesht" ?
Would be interesting to compare pictures of the book and my takes.

@sppsp
Shailesh, I added one more picture of White Armenian (check the second pic) that shows the inside of the fig. Looks like a Tree image, most people use this to separate Breba from Main crop by looking for this image in the fig.

Thanks for sharing, Aaron.  I was camping when the excitement in your first thread took place, I guess. :)

Were all of these fruits just harvested?  Seems late to be harvesting breba down there.  Mine have been done for at least a month.

Aaron. Variety of information about "White Armenia" little, photo no. Presumably grade from Iran.

Harvey, you didn't miss a memorable momentum, not to worry, LOL
I am sure you had a great camping time.
The black ones are main crop...
The only breba is the White Armenian, maybe late due to the size requiring more time to swell and ripen Harvey ?
I included the 2nd pic(out of 3), of the White Armenian series, to verify if its breba or main crop...What's your take on this phenomenon?

Here's what main crop of Armenian looks like...they are smaller, with a little smaller Ostiole than breba, super sweet and very aromatic with thin juicy skin.
