A fig enthusiast was traveling on foot on a hot summer day. He got tired and thirsty and wanted to rest for a while before resuming his journey. He came across a huge fig tree, with small fig fruits hanging high in the huge tree. This fig tree was by the side of an all-fenced watermelon field with huge watermelons all over the field. The man was tired so he thought he will rest lying down in the shade of the huge fig tree for a while and then after rest will climb up to get some figs to eat. It was very hot day so he wished it was windy. While lying down to rest he looked up in the tree and wonder if the Almighty God was really a Just One. He questioned His justice by having given such a huge watermelon fruit to a small vine while allotting such a small fig fruit to a huge majestic fig tree. He dosed off while thinking this and saw a dream. In his dream he was told to look up and see that the Almighty has accepted his wish and up he saw huge watermelon size figs hanging from the fig tree. He exclaimed “Now this is justice, my Lord. This is much much bigger than the Jack Quarter Pounder”. Then he was also told that his other wish for the wind has also been accepted. As he was watching in his dream, while still lying down, the strong winds started shaking the fig tree and he saw a few watermelon size figs above his head got loose and started coming down on his head. He woke up with a shriek saying “O’ God you know best….”.

He was happily ever content with the Jack Quarter Pounder size figs.

Happy 2008 fig season to all.
