haven't seen jen in awhile?

hmm.. wonder if she's ok. haven't seen her around in awhile.

Pete there are lots of members that have not posted in a while .  ; )

martin, that's true. but for awhile she used to post a lot. i only remember few members :)

Her last post was toward end of May.
Satellitehead was early April.
Others even longer.

2600+ members reg , just think if only half < 1300 > started posting more often.   ; )

Many will be back come 'cutting season'. ;)

but all the fun is at when the trees are putting on the figs and showing growth. and the first ripe fig off a tree. this yr, that won't be till the end of aug.

Agreed, many of us havent posted in a while. I just bought 3 acres. Planning another fig orchard. I cant wait to get my Vasilika Sikas in the ground!

i have been really busy with things. devorce, work, trying to go back to school, run a small biz and be a dad. but i still try to get on and say hi when i can. i agree watching the new growth explode is fun indeed. a few purchesed cuttings and help from many great and giving members have made my collection more than double. there are so many figs i have only read about that i now have trees growing. VdB, RdB, MvsB, osbourn proliffic. just to name a few. the more i read and research the more i want. looking forward to getting a Kathleens Black going along with loung D' aout, Norland, nor De corumb. and a few others. i know some will have to potted in my zone 6 location but am planning on doing most inground with protection as need be. while expanding my collection i am also doing hardiness test which the findings i hope will help bring fig popularity up here. i am the only person in my county that grows figs. most i have talked to dont even know there are more than one kind of fig, let alone cold hardy ones. thats what i am hoping to change.

dont have any figs as of yet but looking at my hardy chicago i think it will be oaded this year even after the massive prunning i did over winter. i cant wait.

She mighg be in her busy season t wwork - m

ine is almost hear. I haven't been posting as much either :( Since Glenn's health has not been good and getting the puppy I 've been stretched pretty thin.

I still have some cuttings alive, still have a bunch in the fridg
e - I hope they are still viable. Time will tell! I am going to try to get some more going. This kindle fire is driving me nuts trying to write this!

joann, but i see you still posting at night :) and your figs are doing great :)

Jose ,
Nice to see you posting again.
Best of luck with your new 3 acres and additional fig orchard.
Hope it is nearby your existing one.

Jose what's up.

I am guessing there is some pruning work happening at the vineyard so other things must be busy with wine tasting etc it should be a busy time of year right now I am sure she will be back to show us the progress, especially of her in ground Panachee she tried to kill this winter.

Not to much gents. Getting a bunch of cuttings started so that i can start to populate my acreage! So busy these days.

Jose!  Glad to see you're still figging.  Maybe I can help next time I'm passing through.
