I see that 1/2 of the main trunk-bark circumference is (somehow) gone.
I also see a very healthy shoot (with a strong air-root) and a sucker
from (it seems) below soil level.
If it was me; I would cut-off the main trunk
(chopping the good parts down as fig cuttings, as propagation)
and keep one or both the other two shoots.
I would also re-pot the whole thing 3-6" deeper
(further roots will then develop).
Figs respond very well to heavy pruning/trimming...
Some people were successful in repairing
the cambium layer (the living stuff under the bark)
by grafting live bark --- not worth while the effort for this case.
