Hello!

Coming out of lurkdom to introduce myself...

I am very new to figs, all I know is that they taste good!  I am also not a very experienced gardener, but I'd like to get better.  My goal here is to learn from all of you.  And maybe one day I will be able to root a cutting!!!

Hello, Linda!  I'm pretty new, too, but I guarantee that you will learn a lot here.  There are so many experienced folks here.  I've learned so much.  You just check out some of the rooting posts here, and you will definitely learn several techniques for rooting cuttings!

Hi Linda! Glad to have you here!

Welcome to the Figs 4 Fun forum. I have not been on it for very long either but was lurking unregistered since August 2013. As for gardening, I have been doing it all my life.

You've come to the right place! Welcome Linda!

Welcome Linda you will get a lot of information here and once you root the first cutting, you will never be the same. Good growing.

Welcome Linda. You live in a lovely area that will grow great figs. Do you have a fig tree?

Welcome to the forum Linda.

Thank you all for your warm welcomes!

Gary, I have 2 fig trees that I bought this year.  They are in a pot right now, on our front porch, hiding from the recent downpour.  I hope they will not die because of my incompetency and live to come out of dormancy in the spring.

I have a very black thumb... all the fruit trees planted by the previous house owner are alive and doing well.  All the trees that I've planted since moving in have either died or growing very pathetically.  However, I am persistent, if nothing else :).  This year I have planted 2 pear trees, and a loquat tree.  So far so good!

It starts with two.

Soon it will be twenty two.

Welcome aboard :)

Welcome, luckily you live somewhere that even a bird turd can turn into a fig tree. Stick with it and you'll be the neighborhood fig lady.

Linda,
Welcome to THE forum, where it all happens.

You'll be a pro in no time, I promise :)

Welcome, Linda!

Hi Linda, welcome but be careful: fig addiction is a contagious disorder!   Plenty of enablers around here, too ;)
