Hello and Thanks.

Just wanted to drop in and say Hello. Been lurking for months trying to soak up all this knowlege.
I'm retired living in Fla. panhandle (the real Florida) ((;  .
Have a Green Ishia and Jelly fig tree in the ground for about 10yrs. Have good years and great years.
New in the ground since last year have Smith,Hollier,Celeste,Tiger, and Brown Turkey. Got one Celeste fig last fall. Very sweet. It only made the sickness worse.
In pots have VdB, MissHall,Ventura,LSU Purple and Scott's Black plus some layerings and cuttings.

Wanted to say THANKS to Bass.  My little wife and Bass conspired to surprise me with four fig trees for a Father's Day gift.
A little belated due to shipping days, which of course blindsided me all the more.

Thanks Bass for helping her make Great choices.I was taken totaly off guard. The trees perked up and are enjoying Florida.

Best to All.
Dave.

Too late to warn you now, so I just as soon welcome you to the gang. Keep us updated on your successes and failures. Oh, and did I say we like pictures.

Welcome and thanks for the intro. Looking forward to seeing more from that Ischia Green!

Thanks for the welcome.
Ruben, I just ate my first edible breba from the grn Ishia today.
Years before the few breba were like cardboard. The one today was kinda like a strawberry picked a day too early taste. Not spectacular but good.
I got some photos I'll try to figgure out how to poke them into the computer.
Dave.
