hello from new member in Atlanta

Hi everyone,
just wanted to say hello. new to the vast spectrum of fig land, but excited about the possibilities I see. i manage a small urban farm and hope to add more to the fig selection around me. I may not participate much on the forums as being a full time grower is busy busy and I'm a bit of a luddite, but I want to say this is an awesome resource and i really appreciate the info that can be gathered in the various threads. I'd love to connect with anyone local to me. I see satellitehead is the Grant Park area so I'm only a few miles from you. i'm also a vendor at the Grant Park Farmers Market so perhaps we've already met. very open to any recommendations for must have figs for my area, also for ones that don't do well here.

Ray Givans website no longer works and his email bounces what's his forum handle ?

Austin

Ray Givan has been notorious for 'bouncing' off his url website on multiple times.
Very possibly, it may he looking for cheaper deals?
But it does create some havoc within the fig community ...

thanks for the warm welcome everybody. it's already starting to feel like spring down here. i hope everyone's gearing up for a fruitful growing season. those who are close by come check out the local farmers markets, I sell at both the East Atlanta and Grant Park markets which start up mid April and run till mid December or so. all kinds of good local food!

Chris, it's not spring yet.  Weather is dicey.  Seems like spring, and you see green, and then you watch it wither when the cold front comes in.

Welcome to the forum!

Suzi
