Jo Ann,for this, I put them upside down, also, the bottom should be cut just below a node if you have too much spacing, seems to be slower. In all the literature that i read about preparing the cutting, tells to cut just below the node... Well, that and puting them upside down makes them force roots and they don't like to grow leaves downwards, so, they stop that process. It is easy, put them in the box you had with all their bottoms in one direction and lean the box, so their bottoms are up. try that for 4 -5 days, and will see the darn roots.
