I might have gotten my tags mixed up on my Sal's (genes strain)

and my B. Marseilles VS!

The Sal's (EL) that I got from Martin has rather large 3 lobed leafs!

The tree I had tagged as Sal's from Herman has 5 lobes and the leafs are kind of small!

I hope what I have been calling Sal's from Herman is really B. Marseilles VS I don't want to post pictures yet because the plants are too young.

Anyone got an opinion?

The other one is Sal's (EL) from Martin

those leaves are big for small sals thats for sure, if thats my sals they should change and have 5 lobes as well and not so plain looking if that makes any sense. Perhaps being juvenile but i cant remember what mine looked like at that stage or where i made cut of plant on the mother plant .

I just went out on the porch and sprayed the leafs on my young plants, and I noticed the last leafs your Sal's has put on do have 5 lobes, I never was worried about that plant getting mixed up.
I will take a picture of the leafs in the middle of Aug.

Its young i suppose, it will look like the picture i posted and your hardy chicago well it will confuse you at times as they tend to look similar i think early in season, but the fruit is definetly different no matter how close they look alike in leaf, the fruit to me of hardy chicago is wonderful but thats just my taste, sals is good but its sweet i like more on the figgy side for eating figs, but sweet sals is nice for me to dry.
The Misses and i just came back from working at the race track ( nascar )wow lots of work as we served over 200 people just the two of us in coca cola tent. We cleaned everything up in time to step outside the tent and see a stealth bomber fly over soon as national athem ended and it flew low very low, the hair on my arms raised as it was a sight to behold it was just one , it looks like something out of a alien invasion movie in its shape. this is only 2nd time i seen it along with the stealth fighter plane.
