I got this cutting from an old fig tree by the church that hosts my sons scout troop. The figs are a nice size. The one I picked wasn't ripe yet so I can't give info about taste. I was hoping against all odds it would be an easy to identify fig. I look forward to hearing anyone's thoughts on it.

I'd love to help you out but I don't know enough about the different varieties. I also have 2 trees that need to be identified, but so far no one has been able to help. Maybe some of the more experienced members will be able to identify it for you.
The eye, leaf, and the void inside would lead one to say Brown Turkey. The good part is that if you said "Brown Turkey" you would be right most of the time, down in the South,

Now I have to wonder what tree I have been growing, I always thought it was a BT, but it looks a lot more like a Celeste. Looks like I will now have the BT I thought I had in the first place.... ahh the wily world of the fig grower...
