Help identifying Fig.

This is the description of the fig given to me by a member of a FB group. I was looking for a fig that might have a taste of spice. She is willing to send me a cutting of it to share.

"This UNKNOWN fig that I bought from a nursery as either a Chicago Hardy or Monrovia Black Jack has a striking cinnamon flavor" - Awesome kind person.

It also looks dry, but was assured that it wasn't.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I hope someone can find you an answer. It sounds like a winner....  if you name it in the future ,how about Red Cinnamon Unk  or Red Baron Unk....... Good Luck !!!

I can bet you that fig is a Monrovia Black Jack.  Looks like it was picked a tad bit too soon though.  In my climate, the figs are much darker...almost black.  They are sweet but not rich---very prolific though.  In Southern CA, the figs are darker, juicer and redder inside.  Nice Black Jack fig you got there!

Thank you for the help
