Help identifying please

I am new to fig trees I put out a couple a few years ago and didn't take care of them well.  That was partly because I didn't know how.  Anyway now that I know a little they are doing better.  My wife and I plan to add about 12 new fig trees.  We really like this one but don't know what type it is.

And I'm looking for some other varieties that would do well in south Georgia. (zone 8b)

I can't help identify but it sure looks good, although probably will be more ripe if left longer.  It's a good looking fig though for sure.  Welcome to the forum, and I'm sure someone will come along and help identify your fig.

Welcome to the forum Larry, please post a couple more photos of your leaves. The photo with your fig shows some varying shapes of leaves in the background.

This fig is the one where animals steal the figs. Most of these figs don't make it that long before they disappear. It's not very big so it's easy for whatever animal likes figs. I have 3 other figs trees and their figs don't disappear. At first I thought it was my wife, but 2 disappeared when she had an alibi.

the color might be the main reason . The apples on my tree were fine until they started to change color, out of 210 apples we managed to pick only 80 or so... the rest went to squirrels.

Here are a couple more pics of the leaves.

Hey Larry, I am not an expert on naming fig varieties but the different shape of leaves will help. You should get some responses soon.
