This is a tree I have obtained. Through my own research I'm thinking alma. But I'm new to figs. I'm in ct. I only had this tree this year. I picked this fig slightly before it was fully ripe. But it had a sweet honey taste. See pics. Thank you!

Not an Alma:Alma leaves are distinct, look very much like a goose foot.It is a kind of Brown Turkey, more likely called Texas everbearing.
Beale? Archipel?
Nice looking fig, How did you obtain it if you don't mind me asking? can you get cuttings from the source of your tree? I have some hardy Chicago trees I can send you cuttings of in fall if you want to trade cuttings.
I looked at the Beale and archipel. Then the Texas everbearing. I don't think any of them are a match. But thank you for your suggestions.
I hope someone can help you determine what it is. Does the fig have a story with it? Is it a local fig to you or did you buy it/ find it elsewhere?
No story. This is our first year with figs. One of our friends had bought it last year from some random person so we don't know its origin. Then he moved away and gave it to me. He didn't know anything about it. Either did we. But it's a beautiful plant. This poor fig tree has gone through three owners in the past two years. I'm going to hold on to it. It would just be nice to know what it is.
Nice, good luck it looks lovely.
Hi Tiffanyp8904,Yellow interior with some pointy leaves... My two cents go to "Black mission".In which usda zone are you ?
it's not BM unless it's a BM seedling. The inside is too ripe for the outside to look like that if it was BM.
