Help With Identifying This Fig

Hello,

 New to the forum.
If possible, I would like some help in identifying this fig.

Tree is located in Staten Island, New York, zone 6B
Growing in the ground for at least 50 years, possibly longer,
I'm trying to get some more information from the owner about
the history of this tree.
It seems most likely the cutting originated in Italy and was brought
over by the grandparents.

Sorry, no picture of the tree, didn't have my camera with me.
Took some leaves, and several figs in different stages of ripeness.

Tasted a few, taste was weak/watery, but I suspect this is because of all the
rain we have had the past week/month.
I don't think it tasted like a Brown Turkey, and I didn't see any figs
on the tree that were brown, even the over ripe ones had a yellowish/green
look to them.

Can anybody assist in identifying this variety ?

Thank you
Jack

Bump

Any guesses ?

Peters honey?  Were you at this years S.I. fig festival?  A forum member brought some Peters honey figs that looked like yours.  He also lives in S.I.  My peters honey was more yellowish and less brown.

Thank you for the response.

I don't think its a Peters Honey,
didn't taste like others I have had before.

Next week I will take some pictures of the tree and see if there are any more figs on it.

Yes, I attended the Fig Festival in Staten Island, but I arrived about 8pm and most of the figs were already eaten, no suprise  :-)
It was also pouring rain and windy so most people had left by that point.
Need to move this event indoors if its going to be held in the evening.
