Help with my black Madeira please

Other than leaf color this thing is a super strong grower, I'm noticing again this year the light colored leaves, is this normal for this variety it's a KK BM! Please let me know, I really have no issues with it like I said one of my better performing trees! First 2 pics are the BM other pic is just a negronne it's next to, no problem with its color!
Thanks

Your plant appears to have FMV. But it also has fruit and you call it a good performer. So it's probably not really an issue. More fertilizer might help at least in apperance.

Ok thanks, I do fertilize weekly with fish fertilizer the neptunes bounty I think it's called, it's the only tree in my collection that looks like this, the leaves are like a light lime green, not dark an lush!

My leaves look like this

I grow in a very light, fast draining mix. In the summer months I water almost every day, water pours from the bottom. I fertilize every 10-14 days rotating between Miracle grow, Alaska fish fertilizer, Neptune's Harvest fish/seaweed and whatever I'm trying new this year.

Please check them out by yourself using x50+ microscope, Do not waste your  time to guess.
This is BM ( Not from KK), It has at least 20+ fig bug mite per leave

I actually uppotted yesterday and used the 5:1:1 mix myself I add just a little of the foxfarms guano potting mix as well more like a 5:1:1:1/2 prior to this it was in a terracotta and had my old mix in the pot, so maybe wasn't fast draining enough, I literally smashed the pot to get it out so no stress on roots at all came out perfect and unmolested, I use the cha Ching fertilizer and the neptunes harvest on alternating weeks, the plant is great, just don't know why the leaves are yellowish, but it's the same as last year, and it seems healthy to me has a ton of fruit on it! ?????????? Don't know, and it's the only tree I have that is like this

The round light spots look like mites to me. Spray it in the evening with neem oil (try to avoid the fruit) once every 5 days for 3 weeks.

Ok thank! I sprayed with the captain jacks dead bug last night, should I still do been oil?

Can't hurt!

Spider mites attack full sized leaves and cause stippling, when there are enough of them to do obvious damage their web are also fairly obvious, that damage was done when the leaves were sill immature... Most likely fig bud mites like Ricky said, they are very common among collectors who dismiss the symptoms as something else.

I'd be interested to know if Captain Jack's has any affect on them, you will need a microscope to know for sure. From what I read spinosad can be effective as a systemic by watering it into the roots, but the info on whether it works on eriophyid mites is very incomplete, they are not on the label. Some people say that the stronger concentrations do work, while products like Captain Jack's do not. It would really benefit the community to have more options for controlling them.

After a few days of research on the fig forums and reading what cannabis growers have to say about mite control, I decided to go with a regimen of Azomax as a long-term preventative, used both as a spray and soil drench, and Pyrethrin as an on contact killer when needed.  Worth a shot.

Great information, I hope that there are more information about fig bud mites, I was newbie last year, for my limited fig bud mite experience, It is not hard to kill adult fig bud mites, However, Their eggs are problem, they like to lay their eggs at fig bud area.

Correct me If I am wrong.
How they infect to other trees? I find that both adults mites and their eggs do fell down to ground mainly due to wind or you move fig tree around often, with their limited movability, Some of them can move back to nearby trees, That's why some people report that they do not infect to other fig trees, While, I live at windy area, It infected to 100FT distance in one season.

In Canada, They ban most insecticide, Availiable are soap, oil, Pyrethrin and Malethion, Do not waste your time on soap and oil, both Pyrethrim and Malethion kill adult fig bud mites, They die and their bodies dried up to amber color, but useless on eggs, under Sunlight, Pyrethrim lose its killing ability in few hours while Malethion lose its killing ability in few days. If you use Pyrethrim, make sure shake the bottle well before use, Also test spray on garden spiders and ants, Due to its poison breakdown easily by Sunlight and hot cold cycle.

I find that their eggs can handle cold as well, I left my potted fig tree at dry unheated shed, During winter, Temperature went down to -7 ( 20F) for month, They do come back at Spring, While outdoor in ground trees are clear of FMV mites, There must be other factor that kill their eggs, Like windchill cold and moisture level Etc.

I guess that methods work for spider mite, should work for FMV mites as well.

This is today's photo of my Black Madeira from a UCD cutting in its fifth leaf. In clay soil and unprotected in winter. I put the cutting in ground when it was approximately three months old.
It's a very slow grower when compared with other Black Madeiras in pot. All new growth from ground level. Last year's wood is all dead. It sits in full sun and temperatures could go over 110 during the summer, but the leaves stay the same all summer long.

Maybe your BM has iron deficiency. If you have very high PH in your soil, too much clay in your soil or your soil is to compact or it's too wet, the roots will be limited to obtain the necesary iron from the soil. A very well drained soil is the best and keep and eye on your ph level. You can always add coarse perlite to your mix to drain better and the roots will be much healthier.

I use 5:1:1 mix and it's the only one of the 50 I have all other are dark and lush green!
Thanks
