Help with PM verification please

I have sent several PM's lately that weren't answered. I'm wondering if they made it to the folks I sent them to. I notice that some PM's I get have a window that opens when I go to open the PM and this little window says something to the effect that the person who sent the PM wants verification that I read the PM. Before I can read the PM I have to push a button acknowledging I agree to this, then I can read my PM. How do I set this up on my system?
Thank you. I do appreciate your time.

How about an, "I read your post" confirmation? I was the first, too. What's my prize?

OK doc -- How about I quit bitchin about my health in our emails?
I wish folks would confirm that way , but alas . . .

Reduced content in your emails is a prize? Heck no, I cherish your every word, health-related "bitching" included. Your getting well would be prize enough. Keep working at it!

To set up same thing right above "send messaage"
you see this

Request a private message receipt: - you just need to check the box next it .

Thank you Martin.

Below the PM message you have written there are 3 boxes you can check. One is asking for a receipt, one is asking if you want to save a copy of your message, and I forget what the other is.

Edit... here are the little boxes:

This system has been notorious for lost PM's. Hopefully that's in the past, ...but maybe not. If you converse with someone often, it's better to use private email IMO.

I often have had difficulty deleting PMs here. It's like playing Whack-A-Mole, only you never get to hit the box because it keeps moving. Very frustrating. The past few months that's been much better however.  :)

Thanks Gina.
No need for popcorn today.

I've sent a couple emails and never got responses. One was to thank someone for sending me some trees! I didn't click for a receipt... wishing I had. If you read this and haven't gotten any PM's from me - THANK YOUUUUUU!!!

Hi Michael.  I got a PM from you a couple of weeks ago... responded with a reply PM the next day.  Not sure if that's one of the PM's that was "missing".  I'd wondered if it had ever reached you since you didn't answer.  But I just figured you were busy.

Mike

In general, I find the PM feature to be cumbersome. I've been trying to move exclusively to email.

Michael,  I did not get a PM from you.  I wasn't really expecting one, but feel free to send an email anytime. ;)
