Does anyone have any experience with fig sensitivity to herbicides?  During this time of year, many people are spraying fence rows with products such as "Roundup" and lawns with combination fertilizer/herbicides such as "Weed and feed" etc.  With wind drift, residues from these products may drift a further distance than intended, with also unintended consequences to the valuable plants nearby.  I have not used either  of the above products yet  this year ( but need to) for fear of killing my figs.  Any suggestions?

I use Round-up on weeds to within a couple inches for my figs, to control weeds that are difficult to eliminate otherwise (nasty rocky soil). No ill affects. I do not get it on the figs trees that I know of.

Same here CH, i use also, not near trees as there is nothing to spray in that area but i have caught some flowers by accident in the wind and it harms whatever it hits on the flowers. I have learned to use in early morning when not windy out.
