Guys,
I located a photo of figs hanging off of my Dark Pane E Vino fig tree that
the wife cooked up in the dish described above. It's attached below. This morning I harvested another. The wife ate that one cut up in a salad.
I want you guys to be aware of the fact that these figs I am picking now are first crop figs. I am holding out from picking them just until they reach the point that a person who is not familiar with figs would say if it were offered to them, "I'm not eating that thing". So far to my surprise most have been very sweet. I think that holding off picking along with the very warm weather has really made a difference in their taste.
I have the Pane E Vino White and now the dark but there was one other tree that used to be on that property that the dark and white came from.
I have it growing but have not named it as yet because I have not seen a ripe fig from it. Last year it never had fruit and was quite small now it is larger and does have small figs on it. I hope I get some to ripen this season.
