Thanks to the Higgs boson, I now understand why my tiny cuttings of Vista  Mission and Atreano in 6 short months have grown to over 6 feet x 4 feet.

You see, all matter has mass. Yet the particles are apparently massless so how do they gain mass? The theory is that mass is derived from the just confirmed particle - the Higgs boson.

The Higgs boson within the Higgs Field causes particles to gain mass. Ergo, my rooted cuttings grew like weeds.

Now if they could only discover the Black Madeira boson, all  would be good.

There was something in the news earlier similar to what you are saying.
Only picked up bits and peaces of it.
So I know you are not losing it my friend.

To be safe, shouldn't the title of this thread be Figgs-Boson?  ;)

They are calling it the God particle, supposed to be what causes all mass to take it's form. It really is interesting stuff

now thay just have to find Big Foot..............

Gina, that was going to be my point, exactly. When the find the Figs Boson, or the Boson Figs, or the Higo Boson then I will take notice.

Yes, it will help confirm the existence of dark mater figs. The Higgs boson is a particle that helps prove the existence if the Higgs field. It's the field that imparts mass, not the particle. Think field like electromagnetic field or gravitational field. (I always start  out thinking corn or wheat.)

Now if we can just get to cold fusion, I can set up such a growing system for my figs!
