Another excellent fig introduce by Dusan. True to its name, it has a nice yellowy color. The best yellow color fig I have seen. It is the best tasting breba today over others picked -- Latarrula, DK, Filanciano, Brooklyn White, Paradiso Dusan, Osborne Prolific, Melanzana & Unknown Z2. Likely I will have a chance to compare this one against Latorolla, Paradiso Gene, Ruby 4, Weeping fig, Malta Blk, Domenico-Swiss-Ital taste as they are all ripening.
This variant is hardy and I have wanted it dead for at least 3 seasons. It was not protected for over 3 winters. Sure glad I did not yank it out. It was grown in a pot & the roots had long fed itself out thro the holes on the sides. The ripening process is slow, like over 2 weeks when I notice it swelling & changing color. It's a definite keeper now & I am going to air layer one for the green house. The main reason I wanted it dead was the abortion of brebas due to sudden temp changes in spring and the productive main crop never ripens.
Will take pic's tomorrow on remaining Yugo Yellow brebas that are ripening.
