Tengo interes en intercambiar esquejes ofrezco los autoctonos de las islas canarias.

Hola Amigo,  Bievenidos a nuestro forum, Mi espanol es de California, no de Espana.     Looked on Google Maps he is located off Spain, The Canary Islands of Spain....I told him my Spanish is Californian Spanish not Spanish. We use different words but most are similar.

Muy buenas, Jose. He trabajado en Sevilla (Triana) hace ya un par de años, y ahora vivo en Florida. No te preocupes, aquí tenemos azahares también. Creo que no tengo ganas de evitarme de las naranjas. Jaja.  ;)  De hecho, he dejado mi corazón en Sevilla... que tristeza. Bueno... ¿Cuáles son tus variedades preferidas autoctonas de Tenerife (de las categorías del sabor y del vigor)?

The link opened fine for me.  It took me to a pdf document that looked like it provided a detailed procedure for describing leaf and fruit characteristics.  It also included leaf photos (back and front) and fruit photos for a large number of varieties.  Unfortunately I don't read Spanish but I bet it contains some good information if I could.

The link works, it just takes a while. It explains the various parts of the fig. And then it describes the parts of the native varieties and how they measure or are different. A good resource.

This is a great resource. People are always talking about identifying varieties by leaf form here on the forum, but I never know where to start. This booklet lays it all out step by step. The pictures tell it all. Thanks for the link.

By the way, is anybody on here collecting these varieties? I have never heard of any of them.
