Hi Jim,
Could you post pictures of just the Hollier leaf.
I am interested to see it. I had a few hollier cuttings that failed miserabley, I think I stored them improperly,  but as I am always hesitant to just throw something away, I stuck a few seemingly failed and rotting cuttings, hollier included, into the side of one of my larger potted figs,  and wouldn't you know,. a few months later the one of the things is putting out leaves. Now I am trying to identify it.
thanks

Sweet, productive & hardy. I planted a 2nd season Hollier in-ground and it survive last winter with no protection.

Jim,

In another thread, Jon rates Hollier as his favorite tasting dark fig. What do your taste buds say?

Dark Fig?????????????????????

Don't tell that to Noss........her's are probably yellow.

HAHA......Yep Dan

My hollier leaves look different mostly 3 lobed and some 5 lobed with a distinct leaf shape and figs are definately yellow. Had one breba on the plant that ripened this year and boy was it good ripened about 2 weeks ago.

I thought I had recent pics but I dont this was when I rooted it these are the distinct leaves I was talking about.

Hope this helps the fruit is yellow and the taste is very good but mostly sweet not as rich as I like but don't go by what I say I hate chocolate and coffee and eat grapefruit without sugar so...
And the leaves are small I would say the smallest of my figs tha three lobed in the top left is about 3" long and the largest was about the largest on the plant

Thanks Nelson and Jim for the leaf pics.
Nelson, the leaves on your rooting cutting are about what mine looks like now.
Do your more mature leaves look like the ones Jim posted?

I will be leaving it where it is until the plants go dormant than dig it out.

Thanks

I wonder if Martin has it?

I have two small potted and I have three rooting now.
I have promised Dan ( the celt ) one and will give away the rest.

I will keep one potted and one rooted since they are from different sources.

I will have two of the rooting to give away, assuming there are no hick ups.

I have two requests for the Hollier.

Thanks Rafed you da man.

yes indeed da man!

There is quite a few "da man"'s here on the forum.  Oh and a few "da dame"'s also.  And I salute each and every one of the them!
