Make sure you use the hard boiled water! I killed a few cuttings last year while experimenting with the Willow tea and did not pay much attention to that.
The bacteria survived and ate the cuttings with mold.

In general though, the fig cuttings need no hormone to root. Just be patient, don’t push it.

I know. I just like to play around with stuff. I have three rooting methods that i am currently using. And they work grate for me. Just tbought it was neat so i posted it. I never heard of it. And they said use boiling water. Thanks for the feedback. ;))

And if you feel sick or have a headache, drink it ;)

Speed master. Are you serious. Its not posenious?

Where do you think aspirin comes from?  Look it up

Indeed it does!

Wow. Who knew

Man I am late to the party again lol.
Yeah, it is used since ancient times.
Do not drink a lot thought, if I am not mistaken it causes slight blood acidity.

So can you use crushed asprin as a hormone

As I said before, look it up. Forums are great to stimulate your thought process, but the information is limited to the knowledge of the members. There is lots of knowledge available from non members too. The internet is full of information and other opinions. here is an example

It is called Figs4fun for a reason ;)
Enjoy.

I would probably prefer the Aspirin, less chance of infecting your cutting with anything.

Wow that says "higher than necessary hormone concentrations kill stem tissue".

I wonder if that's what happens with my klonex gel.  In every case I have tried klonex the cutting has rotted.
I dip the cutting end in the gel let it sit for a few minutes, make a hole in the soil and put the cutting in without disturbing the gel.
I am batting 100% dead cuttings with klonex including kiwi, mulberry, figs and some green cuttings.

I have also tried a willow tea before by soaking the cutting overnight in the solution but I didn't notice any difference.
Maybe like the article says you need to pulverize the willow and boil it down first.  Worth a try!

I also was wondering the same with rooting hormone because I had 100% death rate with them...

And there is always honey.  I've never tried any rooting hormones, but honey is anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, etc.  Raw local is best.  Anyway, it has done zip for my bronchitis!  But it's a natural method for experimentation.
