Hi, I went to Walter Andersen in Poway in early September and they had a bunch of huge 5 gallon trees begging to get out of their pots. Their was only one fig close to being ripe on all of them, of course I ate it, it definitely was not as ripe as it could have been but it was a nice tasting fig. What impressed me was the texture of the skin, tough, thin and chewy, but in a pleasant way, not thick and rubbery like a Kadota can be.
