Hope y'all enjoy these Fig cuttings and Tree Photos... : )

Here are some of my small trees and a lot of my Cuttings, I grew under Lights from last Fall and Winter . They grew real well, didn't loose too many.    I kept the cuttings under lights 24-7, I was told by several people, that the cuttings would not grow right, with that much Light, Oh Well? Hope y'all enjoy the photos! Thanks to all they people that has helped me here. This time last year, I didn't know doodley squat about Figs, but I was helped by the Members here. This is a great Forum and Great people as well! : )

Nice trees Frank.

Great work!  Good for you on taking risks.

You did not plant over septic lines right?
Looks good!

Doug

Wow Frank. You are at a very advanced place for only one year in. You got the curse

Frank it looks good. I'd say you got the fever. I too grow my winter cuttings under 24/7 light. I think it's they way to go.

Very nice Frank!

My understanding on lighting is 24/7 is fine, but does not produce significantly more growth than 16 hrs/day.  So if your electric bill isn't killing you, leave them on!

Congratulations!

Looking good Frank, congrats.

Wow looks like you keep busy in the winter. Great job!!! I had one I kept under a flourescent last winter and it didnt get very big during the winter but as soon as it went outside it exploded. It grew about 4 feet this year and had figs on it when I gave it away in the spring. The person ate the figs and then planted the tree in ground.

Nice going Frank, love the way you lined up the In-ground ones...Are you planing to let them grow a tall tree size or keep them like booshes?

Looks Good

Hi Frankallen,
Nice group of potted fig trees ! you're ready for farmers market . In which town will you be ? What is the address ? :)
For the in ground trees, is that place shaded by surrounding trees ?
You have now to choose to shape or not to shape your fig trees !
In Mai this year, I did shape my "Dalmatie tree2" because it showed no brebas . The figlets finally showed up as of 1st of September ... No chances to get those ripe this year.
So hopefully next year, I'll get both brebas and main crop. This tree was started on her own feet as of 1st September 2012 ... Patience ...

Good job so far !

Thanks for the kind comments. I will trim the Fig trees as Bushes! Got to cut down some trees that are around the baby Fig Trees!

Hi Frank...

Nice, plot of dirt.
Nice, group of fig trees of all ages.
Nice, grouping of larger trees.
Nice, seeing attached labels on all your pots.
Nice work.  You graduated from the fig classroom very quickly, and entered fig college...all in one year!  Bravo!

Best regards,
Frank
