Hoping for some educated guesses on this find

Greetings one and all, I found this fig on the same campus as the other black. I friend was talking about how good the fruit was so I took a closer look and wanted to know what y'all think? The fruit I got was not ripe... I think my friend and her daughters took care of the ripe ones.

The fig and color of the pulp are like White Russian, but the leaves do not look alike. Thank you for posting.

Tam

I need to go back and take a picture of the tree, it is very different than most around here, if it were a tomato I'd call it leggy. It looks almost delicate.

Gloria: How old and big are your tree?

Best,
Tam

The one I have which is pictured in my profile is about 4 years. The ones I mention here are at an old church in-town.

bump. i really wanna know the answer.

please.

conadria?

Talked to a friend of mine that works at the church and she happened to be meeting with the grounds keeps tomorrow and will ask him about the figs and said I can take cuttings...
The leaves could certainly be Condria...

I think it is a bit too small for Conadria.

I would be happy to buy some cutting from you if you are interested in selling. Name a reasonable price.

Took a few more pictures and got to have ripe fig, it was very sweet and mild. Very yummy, was sad to see all the figs on the ground that were just going to waste

Looks a lot like my LSU Gold, does the eye drip when ripe?

I too, would like cuttings just in case it isn't LSU Gold

I didn't notice it dripping... I have been told I can take some cuttings. We will have to see how many they are okay with....

Gloria,
I think your climate in Ft Mill is close to ours here and in East Texas and my LSU Gold has been done for at least a month so I'm not sure if it is or not.  the dripping may or may not happen, lots of bees, wasps, etc are kinda characteristic around here for LSU Gold.  I love mine but sometimes the sweetness will over ride the figgyness, not always, depends on rain/humidity, typical of lighter figs.  The LSU Gold really roots well.

Started cuttings and here they are.  Very easy to start, sorry for lack of reference but they are 7+ inches from the cutting to the top.
