Presently, there is an early heat wave in my area which is too hot too early.
The temps have been in the mid 90's and 96F is forecast for tomorrow, Normally,
the temps would be in the 70's and low 80's and the threat of a late frost still
lingering. I guess I shouldn't complain as my older figs that survived the
tornadoes of last year are loaded with a heavy fig set. Also, my tomatoes are
blooming like crazy. My surviving peach, plum and pear trees are loaded and
will be thinned shortly.
I have about 60 fig cuttings in pots outside which have started pushing a lot of new
growth. Again, many thanks to all of you who helped me get cranked up again.
Jon, does this weather compare with yours?
The best to all ,
Jack
