How and when to take a cutting

What time of the year should I take cuttings for planting?

How large should the cutting be and where should I take it from?

Thanks in advance!

They can be tasken any time. However, most are taken when the tree is dormant, and refrigerated until the person wants to root them (often in the Spring). Green (growing) cuttings are more tricky to deal with than dormant cuttings.

Generally, they are taken from current years growth, and 6-8" long. Older wood can also be used.

Thank you!
