How early can I remove a fig tree sucker?

Back in the end of 2007 I ordered a Conadria cutting from Adriano and it has produced small suckers.  My question is how early can I remove them?

Here is the picture

You should be able to remove them at any time. If you want to root them, you might want to gently dig down around them to see if you can remove them with some roots.

They still look rather too-tender to me. Assuming that you want to
propagate them, I would wait till fall/spring.

Not only are they tender but they do not have any roots now.
I will built up soil around them for now and separate them in the Fall.

Hi Montreal,
yes like Steve said you can cut sucker anytime if you dont want to do anything further with it.

Just want to add

Also in past when i just would be lazy and want to root a sucker i get a couple of pieces of thick enough wire and make hook on 1 end and hook it around sucker stem a little bit under potting soil ( hold it down under and still attached to mother tree )  with leaves sticking out, as time goes by it grows roots along the stem part under soil and i get knife and just cut it and gently dig under it with moist soil intact and pot it .

There have been times also when i cut the suckers out to toss away there are small roots on stem near where it attaches to the mother tree.
These fig trees are something else for the most part in things they do.

Suckers looks too tender & young if you desired to cut & pot. Piling dirt using a small bottomless tub over the sucker will help rooting. Fall is better time to remove & pot. Unless you just want to get rid of them now then go ahead. I used a good quality hacksaw blade, driving it into dirt & saw out sucker. No need to dig around.

Thank you very much for your all your advices.

My intention is to give it to someone. Hence, I will keep them as they are and I will add soil around them as you suggested to help them build their root systems.

I am a newbie ...why do you have to remove the suckers?

Thanks, Dan

One more question... I have 2 figs trees which I found 'em growing in my garden from nowhere....what are the chances they are edible?
