Here's an air layer of my Shippan/Dave fig tree , I did the air layer in an one quart plastic container it took about 28 days to see roots I then cut it off and planted it in a 5 gallon bucket 5 days ago I went to water it tonight when I looked in the pot I saw what appeared to be pieces of straw I wasn't sure what it was because it is in a shady area under closer examination to my surprise it was roots literally touching the outside of the bucket I was amazed that in 5 days the roots traveled that far
