how late will paradiso gene, not joe's paradiso will ripe?

i have been over dosing on scouting of late. wood badge course, family camping, working my ticket, then webelos camping. haven't had much time to spend quality time with my figs. they are all alive and doing fine. however, i do have a question.

as some of you might remember, my only riped paradiso gene (not joe's paradiso) was stolen by something. i still have number of the figs on the tree, but they look like it will be awhile before they will ripe.

from the list of date on one of the sticky, paradiso gene will ripe around sept/oct. my looks like i'll be lucky if they ripe during nov.

how late will it ripe? last year i remember i stored my figs around nov when the night temp dropped to 35 or so.

It will ripe in September October, but when an adult tree at least 4 years old+.
Also ,of course if it was in Fresno Ca,it would have been ripe in August.
It depends on how conductive to fig tree the Summer was,and at least in my climate it was the worse Summer on record, for fig trees.

one of the fig is starting to swell up and turning pale. keeping my eye on this one. might be the last fig of the year.

i had one of the paradiso gene yesterday. it was different. not quite ripe. it could have used few more days under the hot sun. but i didn't want to lose it to tree rats.

the texture was great. light crunch and firm flesh. the skin wasn't too thick. i sort of liked the skin of this one, something to bite into. now the taste was something i didn't expect. it had figgy taste, but not very strong. first bite into the fig was more of raspberry taste towards the seeds and the pulp. then after finishing the fig, it had very strong aftertaste of watermelon.

i need to taste more of this fig. i have one left that i'm trying to wait till it's fully ripe. there are few other figs on the tree, but i doubt they will ripe before the temp drop below 32. i'll knock off any that didn't ripe by 11/25.

i'm hoping this tree will produce figs earlier next year to enjoy them in greater number. it would be nice to have fig trees that will produce till the end of oct.
