How long before I see roots

To all of the fig experts. I have removed my cuttings from the ziplock bag and put them in my 2 liter Pepsi bottles, using the perlite and the special moss. How long before I will see roots wrapping around the inside of my plastic Pepsi bottles?

Also I live in Zone 8 and would like to set them out outside. It is starting to warm up a little here. So when I see a good amount of roots in the plastic Pepsi bottles could I transplant them outside then, if so what should I add in the hole along with my natural soil?

Thanks for all of the help you provided to me, I am so excited to have accomplished this.

Wade

Roots could be a couple weeks, or several months. They are all different.
I would grow the plant in a container until it out-grows a 5 gallon pot. I do that even here in Zone paradise (San Diego).

If the cuttings were healthy good size and you removed it from the ziploc with some small roots then you should see the roots coming to the side wall in two to four weeks on average in good potting mix. The sluggish ones may take longer.
