How long it takes for fruit to ripe in your location?

Fig fruits start the ripening cycle when one morning after doing nothing for 2 month, all of a sudden the first fruit swell and double the size it was yesterday.
In my climate ,zone 6b,from this point till fully ripe I have to wait 7 days, while the fruit get ripe.
This is true for most varieties that get ripe in the Summer time with adequate warm days, and not in Oct,and November.
The length of time necessary to get ripe is very important, because if short the fruit can get a brake from the rain, and get ripe properly, but if the duration of time is long, then a rain is more likely to come and spoil,or fill with water the almost ripe fruit, rendering it inferior.
So I would like to know how long it takes to get ripe in other regions of the country,or if you know a fig that get ripe in an exceptionally short amount of time after initial swelling.

That is a pretty fig tree!  How does the Malta fruit taste?

Herman I am in the same zone as you. What variant was it that blew up? What causes it like maybe a heat wave or that rain Storm we had on Friday?

Well:Brown Turkey,Brunswick,White Genoa, White Russian,Kadota,Brookleen White,And most hybrids from California collection, are slow to ripe and have this problem.

My colasanti Dark fig is very swollen since that rain storm on friday there, its the size of a small peach.
