Who is growing Acciano? This is a fig that grows in the Abbruzze region of Italy very close to the border with Molise. Acciano is a tiny village in the Apennines.
I think I have one, the mother tree has been growing in Long Island NY with know protection. The one I have is in ground from this past may.I was told it is very hardy,we will see this spring,I will wrap it this winter, then it's on it's own.
I would like to know the results. A forum member in Kentucky has this fig, but he is in zones much warmer than mine.
I will keep you posted,Vic From N.J.
I have this from very nice Italian forum member. Only 1st year though. How do you like it?
