So here's the big question, how many figs do you eat a day and what is the most you have ever eaten?

i typically go to my back deck as soon as i come home. start looking at the trees and find the ones that looks ripe. i'll test each of them and if they are ripe, i'll pluck it and take a bite. i do this until all ripe ones are gone. sometimes, i save few for my wife and keep the rest in the fridge for night snack. it gets sad towards the end of the season when there are only 2-3 figs to have had a day.. then all are gone and they go into the garage. but the fun part is when the june comes and first few are starting to turn color and swell.. the anticipation.. sigh.. only few months left. and i'll have my figs while grilling and drinking beer. i think most i had was about 15 at once.. but i hope my stomach has been trained well to take more since i have more trees this year :)

I think the correct answer iis: untill my lips are numb from the sap. It happens mostly after 7 figs.....

All those figs wasted!  I'd freeze them even if I had to buy a new freezer.

Bob, with 300 trees to sample, and picking several of each to get optimum ripeness for pictures, yes we tossed a few away, but we ate a lot of figs. That was only one of several piles.
