Adriano has another Paradiso known as Paradiso Bianco.

Joe's is a white, probably similar to Adriano's white. I have it and it should begin fruiting this year. I'm told the Paradiso bronze may be the best of the lot.

paul,

looking into the adriano's site, it says following.

"Paradiso Bianco
An excellent, cold resistan, juicy green medium
to large fig."

have you had chance to take a look at that fig?

this is Paradiso Gene i have.

There is another one out there - GM#9.
I had discovered it while fig hunting in my NJ town &
growing in a half barrel by the side walk.
I knocked and asked the ower for some cuttings and what fig it is.
He said someting to the effect: "sure you can take some cuttings;
but I only know that the fig has green skin and red pulp".
It later turned out to be similar/same as my Paradiso (from Gene_DC).
{there is pic of the two on a plate somewhere here - but cannot find it.}

[Edit: If I recall correctly, it was the same year I got my GM#10,11
from 2-3 blocks away, dubbed Sicilian Light, Dark resp. - that owner was not so friendly...]

I have a generic 'paradiso' just rooted that I bought from Jon earlier this year. Other than being from a reliable source, it has no 'second name'... must be a paradiso mutt. ;)

Pete, I have a Paradiso from Adriano. I am not sure what it was. My friend gave it to me when it was his spare. I would check with him.

BLB:
Jn my climate:
Paradiso Bronze (Dusan) does not ripe properly,(It seem to be English B Turkey)
Paradiso (Gene),is also slow to ripe
Paradiso (Joe) ,seem to be Brunswick
VS Paradiso Bronze will ripe properly tho it is a late cultivar too.
Generally Paradiso cultivars(All of them require full sun exposure to ripe)

paul,

thanks.

herman,

last year, Paradiso Gene didn't ripe till early november. however, this year, i have main crop starting around mid/late april. i'm hoping to see them ripe around late july to mid aug.

this was taken sometime in early may.. i think.

last year, i think i only had 3 figs off this tree. they was good. tasted like watermelon/honey dew. very refreshing.

paradiso main

this is the what majority of leaves look like.
