After reading the posts, I said to myself "the video cannot be that bad", and then I watched it. Ewe! Too much tongue action! That guy totally creeped me out! Yuck!

How about a challenge instead of a ban. Everybody recreate the video this summer. I have faith in Rafed's ability to make a game out of this and raise money for the F4FF.

Wow, I had no idea what I was in for when I clicked on this thread!

After seeing that film clip, I think I have been robbed of the pleasure of tasting my first honey sealed figs next year. All I will be thinking of is the clip and getting creeped out.

OMG James, I almost spewed coffee all over my monitor, that was HILARIOUS! That guy is absolutely advertising. I can't say I've ever even considered eating a fig that way.

Bexley, that was pretty good too. So, figs have been X rated for awhile.

Getting on here and finding stuff like this reminds me I need to be very careful with hot liquids while browsing the forum.

When we lived in the Philippines we would have snacks for visitors and if it was mussles you should have seen the guys go! Cracked me up!

I have consumed thousands of fresh figs over my lifetime, but all from one tree. Nobody in my family ate the skin. We all at them the same way. We peeled back the top like a banana, took one big bite out of the middle, then chucked the remainder over the embankment for the birds to finish off. Never even occurred to me that people ate the skin until I met this group.

I really hope you eat it now. The skin is sometimes the best part!

since i saw figs being peeled, i tired to peel one. i got so frustrated, i ate the whole thing. usually after work, i would walk around the trees and find one that's ripen, dust off some ants or what not and just eat the whole thing. can't wait till the figs start ripening.
