I just recently bought some BTI and have been mixing it with filtered water for fear the chlorinated water from the tap will harm or reduce the bacteria count.
I would like to just use the tap water instead.

Has anybody tried using regular chlorinated tap water with good results?

How do you mix your batches up? Warm water? cold water? Do you let it sit for a spell before watering your plants.

I just got the BTI to water proportion guideline with my order and that was all.

Thanks for your answers.

I've used tap water, and it has worked fine.  I used lukewarm water (around body temperature), stirred it up (in the proportion on the label), and used it right away.  I found it took a couple of applications  (a couple of weeks).  I've actually got another spell of this going on right now (so to those who are awaiting trees I promised you:  as soon as the gnats are gone, I'll be shipping the trees).

City water, half fill the container with room temp water and then add bt, agitate and then fill the rest of the way and agitate again.
