How to move?

Should I move my fig tree inside with the leaves still on it? Should I take the leaves off? or should I let the leaves naturally fall off so the plant can store sugars for winter. I'll moving my plant inside the garage with its leaves still on affect it? Most importantly what do you do?

Let them fall off naturally. I've left mine out until the temp dropped to the upper 20s in the past and never lost a tree doing that.
I like them to be fully dormant before taking them inside.

Okay thanks guess I'm going to take my fig back out till it drops its leaves. Wait if anyone has any experience will my Dominick fig be able to take a light freeze.

Hi,
A longer winter is not what you want.
The longer you leave them outside - without killing conditions that is - the better they will survive the winter.
The fig tree can easily handle -5°C, even potted. You're more in trouble when the temps sink deeper and should protect them at that point.

Okay but the thing is that this fig trees is potted and still green i.e. Not dormant it's sitting in my garage should I take it outside to sun bathe or would that be a bad idea?
