I am EU citizen so no USDA and fig police will disturb. http://www.pomonaitaliana.it/ Actually do they ship plants within the EU or only pick-up in person?
Maybe someone from Europe who is familiar with this organization will give you the specific information you are seeking. However, from the link you provided it appears to be a blog, not a nursery. Are you familiar with Baud's nursery in France?http://www.fig-baud.com/pageanglaise.html
This is Paolo Bellini's nursery... Monsieur Baud does not have that Italian variety that I am seeking...
Hi helike,The site you linked is a fake .
They don't sell they are not a nursery. They are a conservatory and agriturismo (like a B & B). Occasionally the owner will sell a small potted fig for shipment inside Italy only. No EU, forget it.
I thought you were talking about I Giardini di Pomona. Nevermind. I didn't click the link you sent. I deleted my original post.I Giardini di Pomona is in Puglia and the last time I went there in September, they had many trees in #3 - #7 containers for sale. I was also offered to purchase cuttings but since I live in the USA, I didn't want an international incident.
Oh is it? Maybe I can ask an Italian member to forward to me to Hungary if I pay.... :)
Ot maybe exchange for Hungarian varieties... :)
Hi Helike,
May be you can contact the following figs nursery , perhaps for EU areas they would have no problem for shipment.
Hope it would help a little and you can find Italian's type of figs those you are looking for
Salam , figs for peace and fun

Can you tell me the address if Paolo Bellini's fig farm? Or GPS coordinates? Maybe next year if I am back to Europe I may pay a visit.... :)
hopefully ill be taking vecation there someday. I saw in the website he has small rooms for rent.I think to realy visit an orchards like this takes at least 5 days to go over all the cultivars other wise excess insulin shots are needed :)
http://www.igiardinidipomona.it/visitaYou'll need to make a reservation. Specify whether you'll need an English translator. They do have lodging available. We stayed in Martina Franca, which is about 10 minutes away driving. If you don't want to drive, I think there's public transportation from Martina Franca, Cisternino, Alberobello, etc.
