Congratulations on your success!Can you share any numbers as to how low your temperatures got this winter and what the duration of those temps were?
https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/usa/newark/historic?month=1&year=2017 Looks like we had a low of 12 degrees for 1/2 day with a few times in the mid to high teens for a day or 2 at a time. I think what happens is the foam absorbs a little humidity and when it gets really cold it forms an ice shield. Outside the cover it gets pretty cold and inside it's 30ish. Well that's what could be happening. I really have no idea. But it worked and that's what matters.
