How would you make new trees?

I hope these pictures upload.

In the first pic, I have an Atreano with two shoots growing from the roots.  Should I wait till next spring when I re-pot the tree to cut these from the roots to make trees?  Or, should I air layer them now?

In the second pic, I have a Paradiso with small green shoots on the base of the trunk.  Would you wait till next spring and make cuttings?

I would rather wait than risk loosing the cuttings.  Thanks for any help.

I would airlayer now, and keep them inside over the winter.  But that's just me.  You should have a week or two of spare time on the backend before temps start getting too cool up there.  You probably should do them this week, I'd think.

Personally ... I would airlayer.  Just know that it's not going to hurt anything to leave them on the tree and airlayer in the spring.

Someone from your area will know better but I would wait and let them make it through the winter.
The Atreano could be split in spring to make two plants but I would wait on the paradiso and put an airlayer on it in spring.
I hope someone else can ring in that lives in your area
Good luck with them

Thanks for the ideas.  I'm still trying to decide what to do.

Think about it in the inverse.

What do you have to lose if you wait till spring to airlayer?
What are the worst things that could happen?
Do you really see a need to do something now?

For the Atreano, I would air-layer now, leaving first-bottom node currently with leaf
intact. Note that at the very bottom there should be more close and dormant nodes.
That should give you 2 plants now.
Then in fall or spring (preferred), you can dig/saw off the remaining self-rooted stubs
- giving you 2 more plants.

The shoots of the Paradiso are too young and green.
I would add ~2" of  soil around the main trunk (you can circle it with some container)
so that roots self-develop later. Add enough soil to cover the shoot junction with main trunk.
Come early spring, check for roots and then cut/saw off the two
(mature and hopefully) rooted shoots - giving you 2 plants.

I like plants.however, whenever I plant trees or flowers, they die. I do not know why.

Is it just me, but the first tree appears to have two branches emerging from the soil, which are probably already rooted/rooting, and could be removed with roots?

Everyone had great ideas on this, and thank you all.

The Atreano I will dig and cut the two shoots with roots, but not until next spring.  Knowing that my house is very dry during winter, because of wood heat, it's difficult keeping plants in the house.  And it would be hard making air-layers on such a short stem.

The Paradiso shoots are too small and green, so I'll take gorgi's advice and build up the soil around them and look for roots next spring.

This has been a very valuable lesson for me on how to handle different situations.  Thanks everyone.
