Howdy!

Hi you all! I'm in the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks. I got a dwarf fig last year from rare seeds. Still isn't doing much. Also bought this year Olympia, Ischia (don't know what kind) and violet des something[they came in a mystery 3 pack grab bag] . I expecting an LSU Purple to arrive tomorrow. I'm waiting on my cousins LSU Gold to be harvested so I can get some cuttings from her from it. I'm still looking for some LSU Tiger. Can you guess I'm an LSU graduate. Don't know how well they'll do here 6a, but I simply want to give them a try out of school pride. I'm all open to suggestions for figs that will do well in 6a. Thanks.

Hot Stuff aka Guillaume

Howdy hot stuff! Another Missouri grower here that's pretty new to figs also, hope everything works out.

Thanks.

Welcome to both of you!  Any fig can do well in a pot.  Very few will survive our winters without protection.  Hardy Chicago will die to the ground each year but it will come back and produce figs in late summer.  You have to bury as much wood as possible because it comes back from the wood that was protected underground.

Hi H_S,
Welcome to the forum !
Do you grow in pots ?
Zone6a... Hum ... Do you have plans for a greenhouse ?

Good luck for your figtrees !

Welcome to the wonderful world of Figs!!!

I'm in the Ozarks so there is no dirt, just rocks. ;) so everything is grown in pots.
