Would anyone out there know the variety of fig that has been listed on Ebay(But not currently),where it shows the picture of a fig in a guys hand that fills up his whole hand,perhaps a yellow variety. Biggest fig I've ever seen. Seemed like it was a foreign variety and there was a bidding war going on over it. Would appreciate any info on this fig variety.Thanks, from a fellow figger.

Welcome to the forum, fellow figger! I think you are referring to Bass' Lebanese Red (breba). It is a large fig. However, it's not as large as it appears since it is being held by a child.

What happened to the inclusion of a (standard) USD quarter-coin in a fig-pic for size reference?

I think that is the picture that really motivated me to grow figs.  Now all I have to do is find a child.

Yes, It is a big fig, but you're right it's my daughter's hand. I was waiting on the fig to ripen the one day, but she picked the fig before me. She wouldn't let me take it back, but she allowed me to take a shot before she ate it.
