Huge green fig from Dolmites

In mid-October in the Italian Dolomites, in the river valleys of this mountain range, the fig crop on many varieties was in full swing. Very late figs here, after several days of finding barren trees on the plains just to the south. These mountains created a unique micro-climate, perhaps?
