You can have as much of this double dose of high 90s as you like. Right now, it is 99 degrees with 95% humidity. I'll even bottle it up for you. Would you like 20 ounce cans, 2 liter bottles, 24 sports bottles, a 65 gallon barrel? Your call...we have it all!

I know I have to take the humidity with the heat but it was 66 today. Its not suppose to get into the mid 70's until the end of next week. I think 2- 2 liter bottles will do the trick!

Thanks-LOL

man, it's so hot in Atlanta it feels like Santa Ana winds are blowing across the city.  we haven't had any rain in what seems like an eternity, and no end in sight to this one.  i'm over it already.  doesn't look like we'll be out of the 90s for another week or two.  only one chance for rain, and that's this weekend, but only 30% last i checked.

you can have it.  i'm having to water my trees every morning before heading to work.

JD, nice looking breba. Thanks for sharing and the pictures. My Scott's Black from JR is finally growing this year(3rd season). No Brebas, but I see a few main crop fig buds, but no figs forming yet. Does yours have main crop figs already?

Nice looking breba fig and good tease. I have yet to eat one good fig from my two Hunt trees (different sources)......

Tim, my Scott's Black is older than yours and still does not have any figs on it.

Concerning Hunt from Encanto, main crop has small figs but tree is in bad shape. Air-layering and heavy fertilizing to save some part of it. Meanwhile, it ripened a breba and it is putting out fig buds.

Concerning LSU Scott's Black from JFE, no main crop yet. I removed 16 breba in hope and preparation for a main crop. Since it was overwintered in a warm greenhouse, I believe that altered its regular growth rhythm and harmonics.

Concerning LSU Improved Celeste from JFE, no main crop yet. It had 16 breba and thirteen were knocked off. If/when/once the three (3) LSU IC ripen, I'll post a few photos.

FMV is terrible on this tree (Hunt) and it displays the worst of any of my trees. However, the three or four figs that we 'sampled' last year were very good. I am looking forward to a few main crop figs this year.

Just picked up one of these, very excited to try it in its home state!

Is this the Hunt fig? From where was this fig acquired? Funny coincidence I saw this thread because today I just ordered the Hunt fig tree from Gurneys and saw that variety at Just Exotics and the pictures both look different.

Hunt is one of the most underrated figs around. I think that it is one of the figs that has to be "drop dead" ripe to be truly appreciated. On my first trip to a LSU Fig Field Day I had the chance to eat one and to my taste buds, it was the best tasting fig there.

It's funny you say that I was just thinking about my hunt tree and how good the figs were from my young tree, nice texture, great flavor with a hint of vanilla , maybe if it had a fancy name you would hear more about it.
