Hurricane danny alert for southern gulf coast

Been tracking this storm since it left the African coast line. They said it shouldn't strengthen but it has. Going to move into the gulf in the normal spot. Across the mountains of the islands. That should brake it up but gulf is very warm this year. Irs a category 2 with winds from 105 - 125 mph. Not good for my 30 in ground figs that are all doing amazing & they are all freshly planted this year :((

Richie, your figs are safe in La for now.
According to weather forecast Danny will weaken soon and likely bring rainfall relief to Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands early next week.
Trust your weather forecaster.  Have they ever been wrong?

Lol. Never. They cant even get a 24 hour forcast right. !!! I am recreational forcaster. I say its going into the gulf and going to new Mexico

Can't be worst than Katrina since everything here on the Mississippi gulf coast was lost to high winds, tornadoes, and a huge tidal surge. Hope it dissipates.
