hydro propagating

this sample , root grow in 1 week  & 2 week
i use some fertilizer in my experimenthydro propagating1.jpg hydro propagating3.jpg

Hi,
Did you use water only, or water+rooting hormones ?
I would have filled the cup with more water. Was there a reason to only fill them with half of water quantity ?
Good luck, with the next phase that would be putting them in some soil mixture for them to grow - let us know how they handle the change from liquid to solid substrat.

Nicely done!  Did you use tap water or well water?

You've got some nice air-layers in the background, too.  :)

i used some well water & fertilizer...

some people can just look at the cuttings and they will root. me, i have to do things the hard way.. and i still have issues now and then. i tried the water method when i started. nothing happened to my cuttings. haven't tried it since then.

What kind of fertilizer?

Nice work.
Is this recent? Have you tried this before?
If so, how did they take the transition from water to soil? What was the success rate?

Thanks

I would love to know more details about how you did this.

Yes, hopefully another effective method that we can all utilize!

I am water rooting with a bubbling system, clonex and cornucopia nutrient additive, first trial went very well, second trial is underway, it is very slow, after two weeks I am only seeing very teeny initials, but it worked very well the first time. After enough roots develop I am transitioning to FMD's 5-minute SIPs and T5 hydroponic lights. Good results so far, 1-gallon containers are next.

How often do you replace the water to keep it fresh?

Good question-for now every 2 weeks, but I may change more often as the trial proceeds.what do you think?

sorry i am not fluent speak in english ,
i do this experiment more than 20 times..... to search match the fertilizer ...very tired
i didn't make the bubbling system and i'm not replace the water till i transplant in pot.
but if root grow more you must flush transplant media with this water. because root need adjust with new media ..

I think high temperature and humidity are the key! I tried here in Seattle, by my window... some attempted to push roots, most just desintegrated, rotting in the water. I will never try it again.. maybe under hot lamps and over heating mat.  Your indonesia temperature is the secret to your success, most of us do not have that.

and now i do this experiment with green cutting ... hope can rooting

and  i try this experiment too  with small cutting.

Hope U have better success than me have when up-potting with hydro roots. I found the roots were
brittle and consequently break off too easily.
