ok, so there are fig wasps. but i'm taking about inch long dark peach colored ones with bright yello legs. most of my figs are spoiled at this point due to rain and what not. i noticed flies on them so i went out to pick them off.. then what i noticed is, along with flies there were ton of wasps feeding on my figs. i had to fight them off to get the figs off the trees. didn't want the figs rotting on the tree, might attract more nasty stuffs. i took off over 15 figs. most of them Paradiso Gene. sigh.. and they looked good.. i had to stop myself from popping just few into my mouth.

They are the worst after a rain storm and the figs turn inside out.

this is my first yr getting full crop so lot of things are new to me. this wasp stuff was totally new. i mean, i heard about birds and tree rats... now i also nice fruit flies and house flies. sigh..
