Only gnats here are outdoors where they belong as i have seen a swarm in yard.

oh.. yeah.. it's that time. the ground is warming up and they start to come out until the heat is hot enough to fry them all. but usually we don't have much for them to eat in the house, so they stay out. i might have to move my sundew outside for buffet style lunch for it.

i fed few ants to my ceph and now it's putting out two pitchers. CPs are so cute. can't wait to see their flowers.

I have seen fungus gnats only in an enclosed environment, e.g.,
inside home or GH; but never outside - wind should blow adults away.

BTW; currently I think that I am FG free - now that I will soon
be getting some of those carnivorous (meat-eating) plants ...

In the summer here if you find the right tone you can get swarms of gnats to "dance". It's really amazing. 
One of my favorite things to watch is hummingbirds catching gnat after gnat from a big swarm.

oh.. this thread reminds me that i need to go catch some ants tomorrow for my cephs. lol
